BRAND IDENTITY & DESIGN
Lazare Studio proudly asserts its deep-seated affinity for a certain classicism. The revival of traditional 20th-century silhouettes within a contemporary setting, paired with technical excellence, forms the foundation of the minimalist, neo-retro identity that defines a Lazare Studio frame.
Each frame bridges the gap between two worlds that were never meant to meet. On one hand, components exclusive to Lazare Studio are sourced from ancestral Japanese materials and machined in top-tier Japanese manufactories. On the other hand lies the unrivaled expertise of eyewear workshops in the French Jura region, where the craftsmen are trained in both time-honored artisanal traditions and cutting-edge technology.
Design, technique, and assembly are guided by an exceptionally precise physiological approach to every frame. The delicate balance of lines, the curation of components, and the accurate distribution of weight all come together to deliver an impeccably comfortable fit.
A CONSCIOUS APPROACH
Choosing partners who manufacture with care, and who care for those who manufacture.
Selecting durable raw materials with a transparent, controlled, and limited environmental impact. Offering minimal, eco-friendly packaging designed strictly to protect the frame. Setting a fair retail price, rather than a price dictated purely by market positioning. Designing timeless frames that wearers will never tire of. Crafting eyewear that people form a genuine bond with, and that patinas beautifully over time, in the purest tradition of wabi-sabi.
In short, conscious design is at the very heart of the Lazare Studio project.
*Wabi-sabi is a spiritual and aesthetic concept deeply rooted in Japanese culture, built upon two intertwined principles: wabi, which refers to the sense of fulfillment and modesty experienced when observing nature, and sabi, the feeling evoked when witnessing things weathered by time or shaped by human hands. The philosophy of wabi-sabi advocates for a life guided by deliberate simplicity, fostering the ability to recognize and appreciate impermanence, as well as the beauty in all things humble and imperfect.
