BRAND STORY
Designed in Berlin and handmade in Italy, Kuboraum is the brainchild of Livio Graziottin and Sergio Eusebi. The duo first crossed paths in Berlin in 2009 during an art opening at a mutual friend’s gallery. By 2011, they launched their debut collection of five models—a launch conceived in direct opposition to the mainstream aesthetics dominating the eyewear industry.
Kuboraum operates independently, breaking away from an industrial logic driven by mass-market aesthetics and the erasure of individual freedom. The project aims to pioneer a fresh perspective by completely redefining eyewear. While frames at the time were largely viewed as utilitarian objects, the designers saw them as vessels for their own codes, values, and inherent power.
THE PHILOSOPHY: MASKS FOR THE FACE
Here is how the founders describe their brand and collections:
"More than just frames, Kuboraum eyewear are true 'masks' designed for the wearer's face. These masks highlight personality and emphasize character.
Kuboraum glasses are synonymous with accentuation, protection, and shelter. They are like 'cubic rooms' where we are free to live out our identity and intimacy. Through the lenses, we perceive a new dimension—one where we feel just as comfortable with ourselves as we do with the world around us."
Kuboraum is no logo, but full personality.
