Vision

The JULIEN evokes the smoky jazz cafés of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in post-war Paris, where artists, intellectuals and students met late into the night. Inspired by the 1950s, it captures the cultural spirit of an unforgettable era.

Its moderate Wellington shape features a distinctive keyhole bridge and suits small to medium faces. In the HONEYCOMB colorway, polished Havana acetate meets warm honeycomb lenses. As a result, the frame feels both classic and effortlessly elegant.

Crafted to Perfection

The frame is handcrafted from 10mm cured cellulose acetate in polished Havana. Its custom double-laminated temples combine Havana exteriors with clear interiors, revealing the depth of the material from every angle.

Light gold hardware adds the unmistakable Jacques Marie Mage signature. The signature arrowhead front pins are finished in light gold, while hidden filigree wirecores, spur-shaped rivets and custom 7-barrel hinges with refined hairline details share the same light gold plating. In addition, silver foil-stamped hallmarks complete the inner temples.

The Honeycomb CR39 lenses by Armorlite feature a backside anti-reflective treatment. Therefore, they offer clarity, visual comfort and full UV protection, with a category 2 tint ideal for everyday wear.

Limited Production Batch

Only 450 pieces of the JULIEN in HONEYCOMB were produced. Each pair belongs to a carefully controlled production run, numbered by hand and signed by the craftsmen.

Packaging

Each pair arrives in a silk-wrapped monograph box in the signature Bordeaux Empire color. It includes a custom leather eyewear case handcrafted in Italy and an oversized microfiber cleaning cloth. A letterpress authenticity card, with the craftsmen’s signatures and a hand-written serial number, completes the set.
